Around 1200 hours, Station 65 was dispatched to assist Berks Station 58 on a working fire. Berks Chief 58 arrived to find heavy fire showing from a detatched garage. Tower 65 was advised to set up on Side A and set the bucket to the roof and flow the deck guns. Berks Engine 58 laid a 5" line up the road to the scene and flowed a blitz fire gun and multiple handlines. Initial operations were to flow water fromt he exterior but as the building was surveyed for stability, crews made a push in multiple doors to extinguish the remaining fire. Crews set up a draft site at the end of the road and multiple tankers dumped their water into porta ponds. Tankers were being filled at a hydrant off Route 100 at Starr Road. Squad 65 assisted with manpower and Special Service 65 set up to fill air cylinders. Fire Police assisted at the fill site and the scene. Crews worked for about 4 hours before returning to service. Thanks to Bucks Tower 18 (West End Quakertown) and Bucks Rescue 26 (Perkasie) for standing by while our crews operated at the scene.
