 	<title>New Chief's Vehicle Comes Home</title>

 <![CDATA[Today Chief Scott Seip and Assistant&nbsp;Chief/Treasurer Joe Sink made the trip to Faulkner Chevrolet in Lancaster, PA to sign for the new Command 65.&nbsp; A few months ago, the department voted to replace the current vehicle, a 2005 Ford Expedition with the new 2013 Chevrolet Tahoe Costars model.&nbsp; The expedition will be used by the fire Police as Traffic 65-1.&nbsp; The order was processed by&nbsp;Steve Dragon from Fleet Sales at Faulkner and financing was provided by Quakertown&nbsp;National Bank.&nbsp;
The new Command unit will have a custom command cabinet made by Hendrickson Command&nbsp;out of NY.&nbsp; It will also have an&nbsp;MSA multi-meter, 800mhz radios, SCBA, forcible entry tools, traffic altering devices, First Aid bag,&nbsp;AED and all pre-plan information.&nbsp; The unit will also have a Montco MDC which was purchased as part of a Regional&nbsp;FEMA Grant last year.&nbsp; The light package was designed by the Chief and&nbsp;Assistant Chief&nbsp;and will be installed by Marriott's Emergency Equipment in&nbsp;Skippack, PA.&nbsp; Custom lettering will be done by Danz Lettering of Woxall, PA.&nbsp; The unit should be ready for service by mid June.&nbsp;&nbsp;Stay tuned for more pictures....]]>

 <![CDATA[Come out and join your local volunteer firefighters for a day of golf.&nbsp; The Pennsburg Fire Company will be holding it's annual golf outing on May 4th. &nbsp;Registration starts starting at 11:30 am followed by lunch at noon&nbsp;and a shotgun start at 1pm.&nbsp; Dinner and door prizes will follow the round.&nbsp;&nbsp;If you have any questions, please contact Nate Cordero or Carmen Merolla at the station.
We look forward to seeing you for a day of fun eating, playing golf and spending time with the men and women that protect you and your surrounding communities.

 	<title>Marlborough Township Dwelling Fire</title>

 <![CDATA[Around 2210 hours Box 79-02 was dispatched for a dwelling fire on&nbsp;Ziegler Road in Marlborough Township.&nbsp; Chief 65 arrived with an attached garage with heavy fire showing.&nbsp; Initially on the box was E42, T42, SQ71, TW and Squad 65, Bucks T58, T72 and Squad 72.&nbsp; With fire showing and a lack of hydrants in the area, Chief 65 requested the Tanker Task Force bringing additional tankers and a draft engine to the scene.&nbsp; Command (Chief 65) was established and advised SQ71 to lay a supply line from Upper Ridge up Ziegler Road.&nbsp; TW65 arrived and was advised to throw ground ladders to the 2 story structure.&nbsp; Crews from 71 used 2 handlines on the exterior and TW65 crews was advised by Operations (Chief 71)&nbsp;to take a line interior and attack the fire.&nbsp; Crews worked for a few minutes attacking the fire and pulling ceiling to get ahead of the fire.&nbsp; Interior (Assistant 62-2) advised command of&nbsp;a lack of water and was holding the fire in check.&nbsp; Water was given from TW65 to SQ 71 and the interior crew was able to stop the fire at the stairwell.&nbsp; Squad 65 crew with Bucks Station 58 went to the roof to ventilate for interior.&nbsp; Once under control, crews from multiple companies were used in overhaul and extinguishing the remaining hotspots.&nbsp; Multiple tankers and engines were used in the manpower pool to relieve crews. Canteen 41 set up and Medic 328/344 set up rehab at the scene for firefighters.&nbsp; PSP FM and Montco Fire Marshal were requested to the scene to investigate the fire.&nbsp; Special thanks to Squad 67 and Berks T58 for standing by at Station 65.&nbsp; Crews went available around 0230 hours....]]>

 	<title>Vehicle Rescue Upper Hanover Rt. 663 and Geryville Pike</title>

 <![CDATA[Station 65 and Medic 369 were dispatched to an accident with injuries at Route 663 and Geryville Pike in Upper Hanover Township.&nbsp; While enroute,&nbsp;Chief 65 was notified that the accident is now being upgraded to a vehicle rescue.&nbsp; Once on-scene, Chief 65 confirmed one patient trapped in a vehicle.&nbsp; Also involved in the accident was a tractor trailer that had fluid leaking from the crash.&nbsp; Squad 65 arrived and went in service to remove the roof and doors to provide access for Medic 369.&nbsp; Special Service 65 was advised to secure the tractor trailer and control the hazards.&nbsp; Extrication was complete in about 15 minutes and patient care was handed over to Medic 39.&nbsp; Crews remained on scene until both vehicles were removed due to the hazards.&nbsp; Fire Police controlled traffic around the busy intersection fro about an hour....]]>

 <![CDATA[Squad 65 was dispatched to assist Station 67 on a working dwelling fire on Oak Road in&nbsp;Douglas Township.&nbsp; Squad and Chief 65 responded and were given orders to report to manpower.&nbsp; Once staged, the 65 crew was sent to the attic to overhaul and contain the fire. &nbsp;Crews worked for about 40 minutes and made good progress.&nbsp; Next assignment was to open up the roof area where smoke was progressing.&nbsp; Crews made multiple trench cuts and overhauled the single story part of the home.&nbsp; Crews worked for about 3 hours and were returned to service.&nbsp;...]]>

 <![CDATA[Stations 17 &amp;amp; 18 were dispatched to Franklin &amp;amp; Ambler St. in Quakertown&nbsp;for a reported dwelling fire. Chief 87 arrived o/s with smoke showing from the attic of a 2-1/2 story twin dwelling &amp;amp; requested the working fire disp to be added bring Rescue's 26 &amp;amp; 58 for RIT. crews extened 2 1 3/4 lines into side A.&nbsp; R58 was put into service adding Squad 65 as the second RIT.&nbsp; Squad 65 was already on the assignment as a cover to Station 18 when given the assignment.&nbsp; Crews stood fast as Side C RIT for about 30 minutes and then returned to service....]]>

 <![CDATA[Around 1200 hours, Station 65 was dispatched to assist Berks Station 58 on a working fire.&nbsp; Berks Chief 58 arrived to find heavy fire showing from a detatched garage.&nbsp; Tower 65 was advised to set up on&nbsp;Side A and set the bucket to the roof and flow the deck guns.&nbsp; Berks Engine 58 laid a 5&amp;quot; line up the road to the scene and flowed a blitz fire gun and multiple handlines.&nbsp;Initial operations were to flow&nbsp;water fromt he exterior but as the building was surveyed for stability, crews&nbsp;made a push in multiple doors to extinguish the remaining fire.&nbsp;Crews set up a draft site at the end of the road and multiple tankers dumped their water into porta ponds.&nbsp; Tankers were being filled at a hydrant off Route 100 at Starr Road.&nbsp; Squad 65 assisted with manpower and Special Service 65 set up to fill air cylinders. &nbsp;Fire Police assisted at the fill site and the scene.&nbsp; Crews worked for about 4 hours before returning to service.&nbsp; Thanks to Bucks Tower 18 (West&nbsp;End Quakertown) and Bucks Rescue 26 (Perkasie) for standing by while our crews operated at the scene....]]>

 	<title>Marlborough Dwelling Fire</title>

 <![CDATA[At 1220 hours Box 79-01 was dispatched for a reported dwelling fire on Hoppenville Road in Marlborough Township.&nbsp; Due on the box were E42, T42, R42, TW65,&nbsp;SQ71,&nbsp;E87 and T87.&nbsp; Engine 42 arrived to find heavy smoke showing and Chief 42 arrived next and added 10 tankers to assist due to the area not having hydrants.&nbsp; E42 pulled&nbsp; a line to Side C where the bulk of the fire was showing. &nbsp;TW65 arrived and was advised to pull a line and take interior via Side A.&nbsp; Crews made an interior attack for about 15 minutes before being pulled out due to heavy fire conditions and the water supply not being fully operational.&nbsp; TW65 raised the bucket to the roof to set up for master stream operations once water was established.&nbsp; Tankers were being filled at&nbsp;Rockwells Restaurant and were supplying porta tanks on one side of te fire and a phantom manifold on the other side of the fire.&nbsp; Crews worked for a little over an hour to bring the fire under control and then worked for another hour performing overhaul.&nbsp; SS65 set up cascade operations near the fire scene and EMS set up rehab as well. Numerous other units assisted at the scene and thanks to Bucks Sq18 and Montco R74 for providing coverage during the fire and helping get TW65 back in service.&nbsp; Fire Police had the road shut for the duration of the call.&nbsp;...]]>
